Itraward-OC is a broad-spectrum topical medication used for complex skin infections involving fungi, bacteria, protozoa, and inflammation. It is potent but must be used under medical supervision, especially because of the presence of Clobetasol which should not be used for long durations.
This is a combination topical cream containing the following active ingredients:
1. Itraconazole
Class: Antifungal (Triazole group)
Use: Treats fungal infections by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of fungal cell membranes.
Topical Action: Effective against dermatophytes, yeast (like Candida), and some molds.
2. Ofloxacin
Class: Fluoroquinolone Antibiotic
Use: Treats bacterial infections by inhibiting DNA gyrase, preventing bacterial replication.
Topical Action: Used for bacterial skin infections such as infected eczema or folliculitis.
3. Ornidazole
Class: Nitroimidazole (Antiprotozoal & Antibacterial)
Use: Effective against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.
Topical Action: Helps treat mixed infections, especially with anaerobes.
4. Clobetasol Propionate
Class: Very potent corticosteroid
Use: Reduces inflammation, redness, and itching.
Topical Action: Provides fast relief in inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis.
Do not use on the face, near the eyes, or mucous membranes unless directed.
